SOME HANDY INFORMATION ABOUT STAYING WTIH US
Your hosts
We are your hosts, John and Eilin, and we warmly welcome you to our home, Bundaleera Vineyard and Farm Stay. We have come out of retirement to take on this vineyard and accommodation venture! We have owned and operated Bundaleera Vineyard since 2020 and our daughter, Emily, has recently joined us as the guest manger. We are well and truly Relbia locals, having lived in the area for over 30 years. We look forward to sharing this beautiful part of Tasmania with you!
Our location
Bundaleera Vineyard is located in the rural area of Relbia in Northern Tasmania. Relbia boasts countryside views of lush rolling hills and mountains beyond. Bundaleera is the perfect location for exploring all Northern Tasmania has to offer.
Getting here
Bundaleera Vineyard and accommodation is a convenient 12 minute drive from Launceston Airport. The best way to get here from the airport is hiring a car or taking a taxi or Uber. We are also located an easy 12 minute drive from Launceston city centre. Unfortunately, there is no public transport access to our property.
Access and parking
Access to Bundaleera is via a private shared driveway. There is ample, easy parking on the premises (just look for the sign).
Check-in and check-out
You can check in any time after 2.00PM. Check-out is 11.00AM. Ahead of your arrival, we will give you instructions to locate your key or will be here to welcome you and show you around.
The property and vineyard
Both of our farm-stay cottages are located within a secure yard for guests to enjoy. We have fire pits around for guests to use, so bring some marshmallows! There are plenty of places to take a stroll and explore around our property.

Bundaleera is a working vineyard, which means people and machinery may come and go from time to time, especially during harvest. This is all part of the unique experience of staying in a vineyard.
Special offers for guests
We offer guests complimentary wine tastings (except when we are travelling ourselves) and guests receive a 10% discount off any wine purchases. We can also arrange for a cheese platter to accompany your wine tasting should you wish. Please let us know in advance if you would like a wine tasting or cheese platter and we will arrange a suitable time with you.
Things to do and see
We will often be working around the vineyard so we can share our local tips for things to do and see in the area and answer any questions you may have.

Indulge in some wine tasting
We welcome you to try our delicious Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay and Rose wines. A short 10 minute walk or even shorter drive is the renowned Josef Chromy Wines and Restaurant (open daily from 10AM to 5PM). Or you may like to take a drive along other parts of the Tamar Valley Wine Route to visit some of the other fabulous vineyards and wineries in the area. The Tamar Valley Wine Route has even been named 'one of the top 10 wine routes in the world' by Essential Travel Magazine (UK).

Sample local food
There are plenty of nice restaurants located within a short drive of our property, including the Mud Bar, Stillwater Restaurant, the Black Cow, Rupert and Hound, the Gorge Restaurant and the Clarendon Arms Hotel.

We also recommend visiting the Harvest Market in Launceston city to sample lots of delicious local produce, like cheese, honey, berries, oysters, spices, cider and much more! The Harvest Market is open every Saturday from 8:30AM to 12:30PM at 71 Cimitiere Street.

Explore historic Launceston city
Say hello to the resident monkeys in City Park, take a walk around the 65-million year old Cataract Gorge, or ride the famous Gorge Scenic Chairlift - the longest single span chairlift in the world. Or you might prefer to enjoy a refreshing beer at Boags Brewery (brewery tour times are Tuesday to Sunday 11AM, 1PM and 3PM).
Take a drive around the countryside
Take a drive through the rolling hills of Relbia and beyond to explore quaint little towns, such as Evandale where you can visit local boutiques, cafes and pubs, such as Clarendon Arms. Make a stop at Franklin House, a historic homestead only four kilometres away, to enjoy a delightful Devonshire tea.

Explore our nearby national parks
Our farm-stay cottages also provide a great base for exploring our nearby national parks, where you can go hiking, skiing, rock climbing or spot some local Tasmanian wildlife. Bundaleera is just 30 minutes drive from the base of Ben Lomond National Park and two hours drive from Lake St Clair National Park, home to the iconic Cradle Mountain, in the heart of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.

We also have a comprehensive guest information book in our cottages with more tips for places to eat and things to do around Northern Tasmania.
